Stallholders

We have room for nearly twenty stalls – some commercial – some independent.  Local organisations such as the Priaulx Library and Le Société Guernesiase are represented on an annual basis, as are traditional local enterprises such as Guernsey Woollens, Rocquettes Cider and Sueco (Beanjar). Remaining stalls are open to crafters and producers who supply goods of a traditional island fashion, or stallholders who can bring something attractive to our market place.

Stalls are located in the main event ground. This is a grassed area where stalls can be pegged into the ground if necessary. It is the responsibility of the stallholder to provide a secure stall, especially where sun shade or bad weather cover is required.

Stallholders are responsible for setting up and taking down their stall, together with leaving their pitch in as clean a state as possible. Set up starts on the morning of the event and stalls can be removed when all goods are sold or at the close of the event.

Financial arrangements

Charities
There is no charge for taking a stall at Le Viaër Marchi, however, we would appreciate a donation based on sales at the event.

Commercial organisations
Commercial organisations are invited to make a donation that reflects the opportunity to market themselves to the 6,000+ locals and visitors attending the event.

Those providing displays or demonstrations
We value the contribution made by those who provide the displays and demonstrations which make Le Viaër Marchi the popular event that it has become. No stall fee or donation is expected from individuals or organisations who support the event in this way.

Volunteers

The setting up and taking down of VM takes place within a condensed period of time and demands a huge amount of man power. We are always looking for fit and able bodied people to help as follows:

Set up from 10am on the day of the event – always planned for the first Monday in July.

Taking down from 8am – 12 noon on the following day.

This is an excellent opportunity for companies to provide a logo-branded workforce as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility assignment, all within a well attended and extremely popular local event.
